The University of Utah's influence on Salt Lake City’s development is unmistakable. From the revitalization of Fort Douglas into a vibrant housing and campus hub to the establishment of satellite academic campuses in Herriman and new healthcare projects in West Valley City and Vineyard, the land holdings of the University continue to play a huge role in the development efforts across the valley and underscore their commitment to holistic community development.

Looking ahead, University leaders have an ambitious vision for the institution's growth. With plans to expand the student body to 40,000, double research funding, and wield a positive impact on the community and state, their aspirations are nothing short of transformative. The strategic imperative guiding these plans is the seamless integration of each parcel of land and every constructed building into a cohesive campus community, ensuring that each addition aligns with the broader vision of the institution. Achieving this requires meticulous and forward-thinking planning to ensure the sustainable growth and collective success of the University of Utah for the next century and beyond.
