    The ULI Utah Young Leaders Group is thrilled to announce its first annual YLG Retreat. On September 21st and 22nd, YLG members from all over Utah will have the chance to delve into unique project developments, learn about new property technology, and explore opportunities in other real estate markets. The two-day event boasts an exclusive dinner with influential community members, stimulating site tours with developers, and an afternoon social mixer at BigShots. The YLG Retreat presents a remarkable opportunity for ULI Young Leader members to create lasting relationships with fellow ULI members across Utah, and establish connections with industry leaders that can shape their careers.

    Ryan Coates

    GWC Capital

    Ryan Coates leads the marketing effort for Desert Color—a 3,400-acre master-planned community in St. George, UT. Ryan brings a passion for growing and developing businesses. He has enjoyed leading a startup private school, developing and marketing a new home efficiency company, and leading logistics and purchasing teams for large public and private corporations. Ryan has an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and a BS in Business Administration from Western International University. He is an avid fan of Arizona sports teams and enjoys keeping up with his health and fitness routines.

    Wasatch Advantage Group

    Josh Lyon joined the Wasatch Team in November 2017. He started his career in Construction Management in 2004, bringing over 18 years of experience to Wasatch Commercial Builders. He oversees all development and construction activities in Southern Utah for the company. He has extensive knowledge in all aspects of Construction, with experience in the Civil, Commercial, Multi-Family, Industrial and Retail Industries. osh Lyon joined the Wasatch Team in November 2017.     Brad Buhanan

    Director of Community Engagement, Tech Ridge

    Brad Buhanan is a seasoned community engagement professional with a proven track record of success. He has served on the boards of directors for the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce (SGACC), Leadership Dixie, Iron Leaders Academy, and Southern Utah Performing Arts Foundation. He's been an ambassador for the SGACC and the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce, and a mentor for the SGACC Young Professionals. He served within the SGACC as Co-Chair of the Public Policy Committee, Co-Chair of Chamber Votes, and a member of the Board of Governors. In addition, he has participated as a member of the Hurricane Valley Chamber and Mesquite Chamber. Brad's commitment to community engagement has been recognized with multiple awards, including the "Paul Robinson Award" for his service as an SGACC ambassador and being named as a "30 in their 30s." After working for years in community engagement for America First Credit Union, Brad was hired by the SGACC as the Chief Operations Officer and then as the Interim President and CEO. In these roles, he helped to lead the chamber through a period of significant growth and development. Brad is now the Director of Community Engagement for Tech Ridge, a mixed-use technology master-plan community in St. George Utah. In this role, he is focused on bringing high-wage jobs to the area, building a robust tech community, and helping to ensure that the area's growth is responsible and sustainable. Brad is a passionate advocate for Southern Utah and its people. He is a skilled leader and communicator, and he is committed to making a positive impact on the community.

    Wasatch Group

    Austin Overman joined Wasatch Group as Director of Development in 2020. He has a successful track record of multi-family development and construction, sourcing over $100M in multifamily projects. He has single family acquisition, entitlement and construction experience, raw land to finished product. From small 40-50 lot projects to large scale master planned communities of 1500+ units. Results driven finance professional with a construction and materials sourcing background employing proven expertise in identifying growth opportunities. In his free time, Austin enjoys skiing, boating and dirt biking with his 3 kids. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Utah.
