    The ULI Utah Young Leaders Group invites you to tour Paperbox Lofts, a new mixed-used and mixed-income development at 160 South 300 West Salt Lake City. Paperbox Lofts features 195 residential units with 39 affordable housing units across three distinct buildings.
     
    Paperbox Lofts is home to the tallest mechanical parking system in the United States and a midblock connection that bridges the gap between the downtown core and the neighborhoods surrounding the Gateway Mall.

    Matt has been a member of PEG Companies since 2018 where he focuses primarily on ground-up, mixed-use residential development in Salt Lake City and Scottsdale, AZ. In Salt Lake, Matt has played an active role in three residential developments near the downtown core that include a total of 520 residential units and nearly 12,000 square feet of commercial and retail space in mixed-use structures. In addition to Paperbox Lofts, Matt is the lead development manager for a 142-unit residential project, called The Revival, located just north of 400 South on 200 West, which will include a range of public art installations and a future midblock connection. Matt also oversees design and development activities for a large, mixed-use development, consisting of an AC Hotel by Marriott and a top-of-market residential development, The Kimsey, in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, AZ. Like other PEG projects, The Kimsey will preserve and renovate a historic structure, the 1962 Ralph Haver Kimsey Building, the first building to serve as city offices for the City of Scottsdale. Matt received a BS in Economics and Finance from Utah State University and a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Utah.

    Julie started her career as a construction lender in Chicago, has worked for the Resolution Trust Company as a litigation review specialist, ran distressed loan acquisition and workout departments for some of the largest firms in the business, operated Brentwood Capital Advisors (her own advisory firm) for ten years working closely with a Wall Street investment bank to invest in development opportunities nationwide, and was the Chief Investment Officer for a real estate development company managing private equity and New Market Tax Credit funds. Julie was honored to serve as the Chair of The Counselors of Real Estate in 2019 (the second female Chair in over 60 years). Julie moved to Provo, Utah in February 2020 and joined PEG Companies. With a constant pulse on the market, she has played a critical role in navigating change and implementing creative strategies for adapting to the dynamic economic environment. Julie earned her MBA in finance from University of Chicago and her undergraduate degree in finance and accounting from Indiana University. She is also a Georgia-licensed real estate broker.
