Matt G. Knight is a Director of J Development’s multifamily and commercial real estate development, marketing management, business planning, and PropTech vision. Prior to J Development, Matt consulted with Utah’s tech community thought leader, Silicon Slopes, where he managed the strategic direction of various operations, marketing communications, and tech initiatives. He established the first PropTech community chapter in Utah focusing on real estate technology. Matt started his career in real estate management working in a family marcom firm which furnished marketing consultation services and created advertising campaigns to over 200 residential community projects in the Intermountain West. He worked with the Salt Lake Homebuilder’s Association and joined nationally recognized Village Carefree Communities, Utah’s premier active-adult 55+ homebuilder, as a Development and Marketing Director. He has a uniquely broad, interrelated, and advanced scope of amalgamating the worlds of real estate development and technology with creating successful business directions and marketing results. Matt is originally from Salt Lake City and graduated from Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois, and the University of Utah in real estate development planning.

Austin Dent is Director of Subcontracts and Procurement for J Development. Prior to J Development, Austin worked in various aspects of procurement and vendor management. Austin has a passion for the built environment, guiding him to an undergraduate degree in urban planning. He utilized many aspects of urban geography and GIS for geospatial analysis in Washington DC. He has applied skilled analysis and planning into a variety of complex global supply chain projects. Austin is originally from Salt Lake City and graduated in business from Arizona State University. Austin is enthusiastic about leveraging his background in supply chain efficiencies and innovations to the AECO industry.
